Why not keep vim, charge your boss for finding Dojo (
http://dojotoolkit.org/ ) or extjs ( http://www.sencha.com/products/extjs/)
which offer quick drop in functions and call it done?

This way you still have a fighting chance of your code looking reasonable in
all browsers, and better yet, compliant
