Vim is definitely not for everyone, but if you are interested in using Vim
for more of your development (specifically PHP), three things:

1) Pathogen is an absolute must for installing packages. Makes it so all
you have to do is 'git clone' a package from github and it's installed:

2) Jon Cairns has influenced me quite a bit: http://bit.ly/1r4dMzw
3) GitHub for Vdebug (Xdebug for Vim) (written by Jon Cairns)
