The bookmarks portlet (in SVN) is very simple / easy to configure. It would just need to be configured to use the portal db.

I'm going to take a look at Eric's Bookmarks portlet this evening, see whether that can be a quick win.

Small. Simple. Quick. Low-risk. But more compelling than that Google portlet would be nice...
