I have a simplified publishing portlet I have coded up under uPorta1-3.0.0-RC3. This portlet allows one to publish a specified channel based on a fixed set of channel types with various user input. What I have found is that when I make a call to ChannelRegistryManager.publishChannel, just like in the CChannelManager, the channel created does not show up. I find this odd as when done via the Admin Interface that comes with uPortal all works well. I can query the database and see that the information for the added channel is there. I just cannot view the channel in the Portlet Administration screen.
How do I get around this caching or update issue between the underlying objects and their physical representation on the UI?
