[uportal-dev] portlet URL anchoring

Currently if the 'org.jasig.portal.ChannelManager.use_anchors' property is true all render portlet URLs will be generated with an anchor that brings focus to the top of the portlet chrome. I'm wondering if this only makes sense for portlets rendering in minimized and normal WindowStates. My thought is that in maximized and exclusive the portlet is the only thing on the page so the anchors are rather useless and also prevent the portlet developer from using anchors withing their portlet in a view where they render most of the content on the page.

Any thoughts about making this change?
