uPortal is looking for help with creating and maintaining documentation.

We are looking for someone with an interest in information organization who would be able to help organize a structure for the uPortal manual. This person would help work with the community to come up with a structure and templates for the uPortal manual as well as reach out to deployers and community members that may have documentation or deployment recipes that could be contributed. There would be no expectation that this person actually provide manual content, that would still be the job of the uPortal developers creating or maintaining the relevant features.

The goal of this effort is to find a person or people that can help maintain the structure and appearance of the uPortal documentation wiki space and create placeholders for missing content. Then the uPortal experts within the community would fill in those placeholders with the appropriate content. Our hope with this approach is that the core uPortal development team can then better focus its documentation efforts on filling in the information that they are best at while relying on another person or group to help in the area outside of their expertise, structuring and organizing the manual content.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this roll further please email the uPortal Steering Committee: [email protected]

I cannot stress enough how important getting additional assistance in this area of uPortal is. We all acknowledge how important improving uPortal's documentation is _but we need your help doing it_.

Thank you
-Eric Dalquist on behalf of the uPortal Steering Committee
