I uploaded a new, updated patch for UP-2813:

This version has several improvements over the last:
* All filtered files are listed explicitly to avoid (where
possible) confusion/collision with other tech that uses the same tokens
* log4j.properties files added to the filtered list, filtering on
${logging.dir}
* datasource.properties files added to the filtered list, filtering
on the same ${bibernate...} settings as rdbm.properties
* DB connection settings for CAS are similarly filtered
* portal.properties added to the filtered list, filtering on
${project.version}
* uPortal's web.xml added to the filtered list, filtering on
${cas.filter...} URLs
That last is per Anthony Colebourne's excellent suggestion (provided in
comments).
And to be clear -- this patch still allows you to use this filter tech
if you want to, but doesn't change your setup or practices at all if you
don't. It's backwards-compatible with existing configs & documentation.
