[uportal-dev] Joda-time & portal eventing

I'm deep into getting event aggregation working and am running into serious frustrations with the JDK Date and Calendar objects. There aren't many places in uPortal where we deal with the intricacies of dates until this code. I'm wondering if there are any objections to me using the joda-time libraries for the portal event aggregation dates and times. It would save me a lot of headache in the handling code.
