Those files are there if you would like to use scss. There is nothing in the build process that automatically builds the scss files into css files so it is your option to install a scss editor and use that to customize a skin or to just edit the css directly.

Hello,

We are currently testing uPortal 4 at UPMC (Paris, France). I noticed that to personalize it in the "skin" themes they were . scss files ("Sassy Css"http://sass-lang.com/). Do we need to install Ruby and Sass on our test instance? or is there a specific package java for Sass?

Thanks,
Christian
