Cenah menta bantuan ka sundanese speaker.ieu e-mailna.

I am a researcher at Saint Louis University in the United States.
I work on developing open source language technology (spell checkers,
automatic translation systems, etc.) for minority languages and
languages with limited technological resources. I've worked in
collaboration with groups of speakers of almost 40 languages over the
past 10 years.

Here is one of my projects:

I have some interest in working on Indonesian languages - as you know,
some have millions of speakers but only Indonesian itself has any
non-trivial software available.

Having read with great interest your paper online
(www.nanzan-u.ac.jp/~moriyama/
<http://www.nanzan-u.ac.jp/%7Emoriyama/article/Akademia.pdf>
article/Akademia.pdf), I wonder if you
would be able to put me in contact with some Sundanese speakers who
might be interested in helping with this work. I've made a start on
my own - I have a web crawler that is gathering all the text it can
find on the web that is written in Sundanese. We use these texts for
statistical purposes. You might have some interest in seeing what it
has found so far:

http://borel.slu.edu/obair/su. <http://borel.slu.edu/obair/su.html> html

I would need a native speaker to look through these documents and
verify they are mostly Sundanese. Plus, if there are important web
sites the crawler has missed, I'd like to add those to the corpus.

Any advice or contacts you could provide would be deeply appreciated.

Best regards
Kevin Scannell
