Subject: Working Conditions "...As you have probably already seen during your rotations, there is a lot
of frustration in our work environment. I try not to get affected by such
negative states of mind and constantly remind myself that we are so lucky to be
there, to witness the live crisis of others and to get the opportunity to lend a
helping hand. Emergency medicine is about being present and open to
suffering not about being angry and frustrated. Whatever the difficulties,
keep a smile, be happy. When joyfulness cannot be taken away from you even
in the face of extreme difficulty, then you know you are free..."
