Rate: 34hr corp Length: 6+ Months Industry: Insurance KEY EXPERIENCE: An experienced business analyst is required to work on the Adjustment Module System (AMS) which automates data collection, calculation, and bill generation for retro adjustments of large insurance contracts sold by AIG's Commercial Insurance business. The project - AMS Pricing Groups - is a specific enhancement to the premium allocation methodologies being used currently in the system. It will involve new user input screens, modifications to an existing screen, report modifications, and revised allocation calculations. AMS performs a unique business function. To be effective, the analyst must be familiar with insurance policy pricing and comfortable with financial analysis to understand the current allocations and the proposed revisions. This change will require adding another layer of detail in the current database and, as a result, the analyst will need to develop the strategy for conversion and recommend the approach and plan for executing the migration. The analyst will be responsible for gathering all of the business requirements for this enhancement and preparing the Business Requirements Document (which will include narratives, screen mock-ups, and report changes). After the completion of the Business Requirements, the analyst would develop use cases, test cases and scripts for the enhancement. In addition, we would like the analyst to be available for the actual testing of the developed changes, although there may be a gap in the schedule between the test preparation and the testing. Responsibilities and qualifications: - Have insurance industry experience - Communicate with business users to understand the business requirements for the Pricing Groups enhancement. - Be experienced in development of project documentation (including developing screen mock-ups), testing materials and execution - Posses excellent analytical skills. - Have excellent written and verbal communication skills - Provide clear & concise status updates to management - B.S. degree Please note that this is a short term project with potential breaks in the schedule to accommodate review and approval checkpoints before development and implementation continues.
