Familiarity with Silverlight v3.0 would be preferred, but is not mandatory. - Need someone with .NET development experience so s/he can plug the Silverlight controls into the existing TCX architecture. This developer will be asked to quickly translate a UI design (coming from Photoshop) - Product development experience with rich UI web applications. Experience creating applications that can serve multiple channels (web/mobile/desktop) would be preferred, but is not mandatory. **Overview from a Statement of Work developed ** Current Situation: Client needs experienced Silverlight implementers to develop a prototype for review by the client Board. Funding and Go/No Go decisions will be hinge on the success of the prototype. Client envisions that this effort will represent building approximately 10-15 template pages with functional features and tools (i.e. Refund Meter) to be based on existing applications. The key objective of the new product will be to enhance the customer experience through a much more open user interface with improved non-linear navigation and innovative contextual help/information features. Initial challenges will be to consider overall design, approach and architecture in context of the end goal being a new 6,000+ page site addressing the demands of high user volume while maximizing performance for the end-user. The assignment will be a collaborative team effort where the overall development group will be working in a scrum approach at the client facility and offsite. The SilverLight team will help lead the integration of web services and transformation of the design approach into a rich user interface for the TaxCut Online prototype. The Silverlight developers will work in collaboration with client on a Microsoft SilverLight 2.0 implementation prototype of its online tax preparation service. They will utilize client written code libraries via web services for tax preparation business rules. A Third Party, will supply front end Silverlight screens as XAML coded in Expression Blend for integration and coding. These developers will produce a Silverlight prototype of a common user flow through the Taxcut.com Free Filing path.
