Here is the REQ: Leading Investment Bank is in need of a Database Developer/ Analyst to support a key data hub used for portfolio accounting data such as positions, transactions, taxlots etc for all Managed accounts. The system has a global user base comprising operations, portfolio management, client reporting and market data teams to name a few. RESPONSIBILITIES: As part of the team, the person in this role will, primarily focus on the following tasks: * Provide development and support for multiple business and technical areas as data is used across multiple areas * Communicate effectively with detailed business experts including Operations and Traders, and transform business flows/concepts into technical implementation. * Guide other team members on technology best practices SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * 5+ years of overall work experience * Very strong database experience preferably Sybase but other relational DBMS experience acceptable 70-80% * Development experience with Java and related web technologies (Apache Tomcat, struts, XML etc.) 20-30% * Ability to articulate ideas and win support of peers and business users via use of verbal and written communication. * Ability to take initiative and work independently * IT Experience preferred in Financial/Brokerage industry * Financial systems experience highly desirable as well as general financial knowledge of products and processes --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
