Responsible for the configuration, build, monitoring of the middleware suite (IBM Data power, MQ, WebSphere). 2. Serves as technical point of contact for group's technical support analysts. 3. Plans, organizes and coordinates infrastructure (web and middleware) projects of a moderate to high level of complexity. 4. Advises on and resolves issues that may occur within middleware services. 5. Develop application and operational processes needed to model, integrate, automate and manage efficient and flexible business processes. 6. Create and update system documentation 7. Off-hours support and on-call rotation required *Requirements:* - Knowledge of middleware/infrastructure best practices and security methodologies - 4 years of experience in installation, configuration, and administration of middleware platforms (i.e. IBM DataPower, WebLogic, IBM WebSphere) - Good UNIX shell scripting skills - Ability to create support documentation & written procedures for routine and non-routine tasks. - Proficient in administration of IBM IHS. - Ability to evaluate, install, test, configure, maintain, and monitor performance of and troubleshoot WebSphere applications. - A good understanding of concepts related to web server load balancing and other application scaling concepts. - Strong UNIX systems administration experience (Linux, and AIX). - Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills (UNIX, Networking, DMZ, Firewalls, J2EE, and Web and Application Servers). - Thorough understanding of Java/J2EE concepts (JDBC, JMS/MQ, JSP, EJB, JNDI, etc.) is required. - Understanding of security concepts in WAS environment. - Ability to follow, improve and create processes required for effective systems administration. - Exceptional organizational, documentation, and communication skills. *Preferred skills:* - WebSphere eXtreme Scale - WebSphere Liberty - Installing and supporting WebSphere Portal and DataPower is desirable -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
