*Job Role - **Teradata Lead/Architect role*
*Location: Remote with once per month travel to Baltimore for 2-3 days at a
time ( travel expenses are not separate---they must be included in the
rate). *
*Citizenship required*

Description :

   - Applies subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex data
   issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate actions;
   - Supports ETL team’s projects with expertise;
   - Provides forward looking guidance to team and CMS on projects and
   impacts;
   - Provides estimates for projects;
   - Provides impact analysis on possible projects;
   - Analyze new data sources for inclusion into the enterprise data
   warehouse;
   - Work with federal and contractor staff to identify ETL requirements;
   - Create and update Interface Control Documents (ICDs);
   - Create ETL Functional specifications that document source to target
   mappings;
   - Create new Informatica ETL streams for additional data sources;
   - Follow established CMS standards for implementing Informatica ETL on a
   IDR database. These standards include, but are not limited to, enforcing
   referential integrity and following purgatory requirements;
   - Collaborate and coordinate with the other contract Government Task
   Leads as directed by CMS;
   - ETL Utilizing IDR staging tables while following CMS standards;
   - Becomes knowledgeable on the IDR Data Model using Informatica ETL;
   - Works on problems / projects of diverse complexity and scope.
   - Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and
   practices to identify and select a solution.
   - Strong proven analytical ability and ability to solve problems
   independently

Qualifications:

   - Experience as a technical lead/architect of a large Enterprise Data
   warehouse;
   - Expert knowledge of developing ETL streams using Informatica, and
   Teradata;
   - Expert knowledge of SQL and Unix required, Teradata is the underlying
   database.
   - Excellent investigative skills to find root cause for ETL problems;
   - Strong data analytical skills;
   - Ability to identify and create detailed requirements;
   - Ability to create ETL design specifications and create data mappings;
   - Experience with push down optimization functionality of Informatica to
   maximize performance;
   - Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other contract Government
   resources;
   - Industry experience a plus (Medicare, Medicaid, Healthcare or
   commercial insurance)
