*Description*
Role: Localization Project Manager
Client is expanding its global footprint to deliver event and entertainment
experiences to the world’s largest audience. We are looking for a
Localization Project Manager to work closely with product teams and drive
localization projects in order to support our foreign language site
experiences. In this role, you will provide Localization Project Management
support to multiple organizations and across multiple languages. The
Localization Project Manager will work closely with Language Specialists,
Engineers, Release Management, Product Management, Content Strategy,
Customer Support, QA, internal business partners, and with external
vendors. The role reports into to the Localization Program Manager.

The Localization team helps Client’s ideas and products look, feel and
sound natural to users in their own countries. Thought we are under and
work closely with the User Experience Design team, we collaborate often
with Engineering, Product, Brand and Marketing teams to steer products
through the localization process and ensure successful launches as well as
high quality user experiences across the globe. You will play an active
role and have plenty of opportunities to shape how Localization supports
the company and our international customers.
Responsibilities
Concurrent management of multiple localization projects in a fast-paced
environment, recognizing and acting on their priorities and
interdependencies
Plan and execute projects ranging from small, fast-turnaround to larger,
more complex projects working with diverse teams to establish their
localization needs
Communicate status, issues and risks to stakeholders
Work with external localization vendors and monitor their progress
Track metrics & schedules, and monitoring the workload of our language
specialists and external vendors
Contribute to process improvements for localization
Advise product teams on localization best practices
Proactively identify possible localization-related issues and address them
properly
Ensure localized content produced for all browser based experiences is
maintained to a high quality and kept up to date
Work with country-specific product managers to identify product language
requirements and to define terminology and localized brand names for new
products and features
Work with the business and legal teams to meet regulatory requirements.
Ensure that user agreements are in compliance with local laws and
regulations
Assist language specialists perform website language QA and device testing
Continually expand knowledge and education in localization trends and news,
keeping up to date through active participation in training opportunities

*Preferred Qualifications *

   - Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks in a
   fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision
   - Fluency or competency in one or more foreign languages
   - Knowledge of responsive design and adaptive design best practices
   - Good working knowledge of quality management processes
   - Experience in Agile methodology working closely with the immediate
   scrum team on a day-to-day basis
   - Experience with international scalability, expansion and working
   across multiple geographies a plus
   - Experience with Machine Translation and localization of Mobile
   applications
   - Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g. Idiom WorldServer, SDL Trados,
   Smartling)
   - Detail-oriented and proactive about maintaining linguistic quality
   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
   - Passion for event going and new experiences


*Job Requirements *

   - Bachelor's or higher degree required. Linguistics, foreign language
   and social science majors preferred
   - Solid in-depth knowledge of internationalization and localization of
   digital content
   - Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in localization project
   management; knowledge of project management software tools and techniques
   - Demonstrated track record of successfully planning and managing
   fast-paced and larger-scale project implementations from start to finish
   across multiple languages
   - Experience working with localization vendors to ensure service level
   agreements are adhered to
   - Solid experience with formal software development life cycles,
   especially in a Web environment
