Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education · At least 5 years of experience with SKILLS SET mentioned below *Skills:* · Strong hands on experience in RedHat Linux administration [ 5+ years ] · Experience in installation/configuration of a clustered, high availability environment · Capacity and performance management · Identify and assist in troubleshooting system errors and faults offering viable solutions to fix them. · Basic understanding of network technologies and architecture · Experience in remote server build tools and process · Automation using Shell scripting. · Experience in a large, geographically dispersed environment · Experience in OS recovery/ Disaster recovery · Experience in solution design / Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation and deployment · Ability to work with minimal direction, yet also able to work in team environment · Excellent verbal and written communications skills · Server migration/platform upgrade *Role:* · Production Support: Respond to the issues assigned, do analysis, participate in estimating the effort needed to implement solution or work around, suggest / implement work around, communicate to all the stake holder and close the issue as per the agreed timelines in order to ensure support availability as per agreed SLAs · Interact with client senior leadership and SMEs to understand the requirement, expectations and articulate value of Infosys Solution. · Provide thought leadership and driving client long range plans and roadmap · Analyzing and troubleshooting complex business and technical issues · Ensure operational and system documentation is created and maintained. · Participate in Knowledge Management activities with the objective of ensuring the highest levels of service offerings to clients in own technology domain within the guidelines, policies and norms · Participate in the estimation of work product in order to provide right information to TL/PM for overall project estimation · Monitor Strategic Goals and Strategic Initiatives Governance - Unit : Generate & consolidate data in order to provide inputs for tracking goals *Preferred Skills:* · Certification: RedHat Linux certifications are desirable, · At least 5 years of experience in · Hands on RedHat Linux administration · Provide a strategic database direction for the organization · Knowledge in RedHat Linux version 4, 5, 6 & 7 in datacenter · Should be able to perform the following • Provide day-to-day administration, support and maintenance • Perform Incident Management related to Linux • Perform Configuration Management and Change Management for the Linux devices • Participate in the design and implementation and Capacity Planning of Linux platforms. • Manage the daily operation Linux platforms. Monitor resource utilization, including such items as CPU, memory, and disk utilization. Report on system utilization and plan/implement recommended maintenance as required. Perform impact analysis as appropriate. • Evaluate, apply, test and promote patches for the Linux operating system, Participate in the development of patching procedure recommendations for operating systems and underlying firmware • Requirement gathering, scoping and estimation for in-flight projects. • Incident Trending and Proactive Problem Management • Perform root cause analysis and implement remediation plan. • Manage RedHat Enterprise servers. • Automation and Service Improvements using Scripting • Work with Middleware and Database Administrators in the implementation of new applications.
