Job Description :


Responsibilities:


• Responsible for translating the client's business requirements into plans 
for development of systems, applications, or process designs.
• Constructs risk assessments and corresponding remediation plans relative 
to complex services proposals.
• Define planning for business models to drive data governance across multiple 
project teams.
• Work closely with IT project managers, database programmers and web 
developers 
on software development projects.
• Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff 
to ensure database integrity and security.
• Help define options for the strategic direction, and for each option specify 
the business considerations such as advantages, disadvantages, risks, costs, 
and complexity. 
• Map key milestones and development of strategic checks to help ensure that 
a multi-biennium effort is successful
• Evaluation of current documented options for completeness
• Review of maintenance and development cost estimations for use in description 
of each option
• Information gathering with ITS and other RRC division staff to assist in 
the planning and sizing
• Production of clear, concise, descriptions of options with sizing for each
• Creation of risk weighting factors appropriate for the range of options

Knowledge of Enterprise Information Systems and Business Architecture 
Fundamentals

Experience working in the role of an Enterprise Architect or Enterprise 
Consultant 
within the Information Technology (IT) industry or a combination of IT and 
Business.

Ability to understand how data in use relates to the current operations and 
the effects that any future process changes will have on the use of data in 
the organization.

Ability to translate business needs into architecture requirements.


8   

Ability to serve as the liaison between users, database management team and 
any software development/integration teams.


5   

Must be able to understand and communicate the Business Requirements of any 
future infrastructure needs, working with the IT Systems architects to develop 
an approach that fits the current and planned needs of the organization.


5   

Ability to develop standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, and 
delivering ALL data within the enterprise.


5   

Able to work with enterprise architects to adhere to the latest development 
standards of the enterprise.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Business Information 
Systems or related fields.

Experience with process development and planning documentation for complex 
IT projects

Experience in data integration and data conversions preferred - Mainframe

Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and 
negotiation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to translate varied business requirements and legacy applications into 
business plans for system solutioning.
