What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment?

As an IT Service Coordinator (Java / Middleware) you will be part of our
Solutions Support & Maintenance Operations team (SS&MO) supporting several
Priority 1 critical business applications built on Service Oriented
Architecture. You'll stretch your skills and grow your career in this fast
moving role where you will be responsible for application availability and
stability, coordinate work efforts with the offshore team, manage small
infrastructure upgrade projects, identify and implement process
improvements and work on high priority customer issues. This is a unique
role where your efforts will make an impact to our members.

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?

1. Provide production support of several Priority 1 critical business
applications built on Service Oriented Architecture running on WESB, IIB
and Mule/Talend

2. Work with the on / offshore production support team handling Incident
and Problem tickets

3. Provide on - call support (24x7) during critical issue resolution

4. Ensure overall organizational support goals are met (i.e. SLA, incident
/ problem reduction, application availability)

5. Coordinate root cause analysis efforts for permanent resolution on all
Incidents

6. Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues

7. Manage infrastructure upgrade projects

8. Collaborate with cross functional teams on issue resolution

9. Work with the Development team to understand the new functionality being
deployed and ensure all support readiness requirements are met

10. Mentor junior team members providing training and technical direction
as needed

11. Ability to adjust both written and oral communications to a variety of
different audiences

12. Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks



What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily
responsibilities?

1. Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOPS) concepts

2. 5+ years of experience with the Software Development including
production support.

3. Hands on experience with Java / J2EE / JSP / JSF development.

4. Experience with integrated platform as a service (iPaaS) technology such
as Mule / IIB ESB

5. Experience with UNIX and Shell Scripting

6. Experience with developing APIs or Web Services

7. Experience with RDBMS (Oracle or MySQL or DB2)

8. Knowledge of SVN or any other source code control systems

9. Knowledge of XML, SOAP and WSDL

10. Experience with WebSphere



What skills/attributes are a must have?

1. Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOPS) concepts

2. 5+ years of experience with the Software Development including
