Job Title: Sr. Build/ Release Engineer
Location : Lynchburg, VA
Duration: 5+ Months

*Responsibilities and Goals:
*· Own and Manage all R&P continuous integration (build)
environments - note that this will require consolidation, and
standardization over time.
· Recommend and implement phased improvements in the R&P
continuous integration environments.
· Identifies, recommends and implements automation opportunities
· Introduce consistent developer/tester tools to the continuous
integration environments that improve code quality, automatic build
generation, script management and automated testing.
· Handle all upgrades related to the continuous integration
environments
· Provide any/all needed integrations with other tools/components
of the R&P Software Development Life Cycle.
· Assist development teams with autobuild scripts that will work
with not only the build servers, but with the rest of the SDLC solution.
· Assist development teams with automatic deployment scripts and
disaster recovery plans/tests
· Guide/Lead other build and automation engineers - task
assignments, problem resolution
Skills / Technologies Required:
· Minimum 4 Years Information technology experience
· Minimum 2 years java software development and release management
experience, or related
· Experience working in a small team
· Experience as a development or team lead
· Java application server experience - Websphere, JBoss, or
Weblogic
· Java application JEE deployment and troubleshooting
· Windows and Linux (Red Hat) power user level
· Build Servers - Cruise control, Hudson and /or Microsoft related
· Build scripting including Ant, Maven, Bash
· CVS, Subversion or very similar, including mastery of
tagging/branching
· Experience with software code dependency management
· SQL databases - esp. Oracle, SQL Server
· Strong analytical, diagnostic, conceptual skills
· Good communications skills, both written & verbal
· Ability to multitask and prioritize work
Skills / Technologies Desired:
· Jython (j-python)
· Microsoft related scripting (PowerScript, c#, etc.)
· HP Operations Orchestration, HP Quality Center, HP PPM
· Bugzilla, Nexus, Web Testing Tools, Fisheye, Crucible, Clover
· Mainframe related, including Serena Changeman
· LDAP, active directory
