Job:* Configuration Engineer with good UNIX & Java Apps Server exp.**
*Place:* Dallas Location **
*Duration:* 8months.*



*Key Work Responsibilities: **
*• should be strong in SCM activities such as merging development code
forward, cut a new branch, move dev branch to test, production release
support, user administration
• Perform release and build management activities as required for Java and
C++ using various tools
• Manage multiple development/test/UAT/production application environments
• Monitoring application performance and security
• Build out new environments and upgrade existing environments
• Tune java app server configurations to optimize performance


*Technical Skills: **
*Must Have:
• Software Configuration Management software experience *required - SVN, CVS
*
• Applicable operating systems  experience  - *Unix and Windows*
• J2EE application server administration (any of: BEA, IBM, Oracle) and web
server administration – Apache or IIS
• Solid troubleshooting skills including diagnostics, connectivity and
performance tuning
• Every aspect of the Software Development Life Cycle, Quality Assurance and
Change Management
• Scripting language experience such as Ant or PERL or others
• Ability to manage multiple application environments, issues, deployments
and associated impacts/risks
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Good to have:
• Programming languages/protocols:  Java, J2EE, JDBC, HTML, HTTP and
javascript.
• Oracle internet Application server experience
• C++ experience
• Ability to create clear and concise technical and detailed documentation
