*Position: Perl Developer* *Location: NYC NY* *Duration: Long term * *Start Date: ASAP* *Position Description: * The consultant would join a team that is part of the Enterprise Computing Service organization. The team goal is to drive efficiencies through automation. The primary responsibility for this role is to analyze various Unix work flows in the EC service catalog and then automate them via Perl or a Run Book Automation tool (BMC Orchestra). The candidate needs to work closely with the Unixops team and the ECPortal (web user request tool) team. Responsibilities include requirement gathering from the Unixops team and portal users and design, implementation, testing and deployment of new automation modules. The right candidate must have experience working in an enterprise scale environment.
