Position: Sr Linux System Admin Location: Seattle, WA Duration: 6-12 Months Responsibilities: § Maintain and manage operational Linux environment consisting of physical and cloud installations. § Work with developers to architect and enhance applications § Monitor system performance and plan for future capacity and scaling § Carry a pager and participate in an on-call rotation Qualifications: § Deep understanding of Linux internals, including kernel and tcp stack tuning § Expertise in Unix/Linux system administration, including configuration, troubleshooting, and automation § Experience running high-traffic web services, including capacity analysis, service configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting § 5+ years experience with Linux/BSD § 4-6 years web hosting experience (LAMP, Java) § 1-3 years experience with configuration management tools - chef, puppet, cfengine, or similar § Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and security concepts § Experience with load balancing § Experience with MySQL, Mongo, Memcached, Redis § Solid scripting skills in Shell, PHP, Perl, Python or Ruby § Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize, and a proactive mindset § BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience Preferred: § Ubuntu/Debian Experience § Experience with cloud services, e.g. Amazon AWS, Rightscale, Etc. § Familiarity with JAVA based stack hosting such as Tomcat, Jetty, etc. Thanks and Regards, Augustin T: 214-774-4359 | F: 214-774-4854 | e: [email protected]| w: www.primusglobal.com <http://www.primusglobal.com/> Locations: Dallas | Singapore | Bangalore | Hyderabad Sent From My DELL This message is for the designated recipient only and may contain privileged, proprietary, or otherwise private information.
