The Business Objects Administrator is responsible for multiple technical
aspects of the Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) environment and serves as
the primary contact for the system, with knowledge of all levels including
application, operating system and hardware configuration. This individual
performs all levels of technical tasks related to the development,
maintenance and support of all Business Objects Enterprise environments. The
BO Administrator/Developer will be capable of supporting all in scope
activities
*Technical/Functional Skills 7+ yrs of experience in Business Objects
administration and trouble shooting*
*Total Experience Required: 8-9 Years*

Experience in Installation and upgrading BO server with new version of
software (Business Objects)
-
Experience in configuring BO cluster, RAS, Webi, Deski, and Job services
-
Experience with load testing and performance tuning of BO infrastructure
-
Good knowledge in Single Sign On configuration Experience with complete
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
-
Solid experience downloading and applying Business Objects fix packs and
upgrades.
-
Experience in BO architecture, migrations and upgrades.
-
Experience with dashboard deployments and BI reporting strategies,
including knowledge and experience with Universe development, Web
Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Xcelsius, and Desktop Intelligence.

Experience with Business Objects Data Services, Data Integration and Data
Quality Management. Knowledge of Business Objects Advanced Analytics -
Voyager, Predictive Workbench, and Set Analysis (desirable).

Prepare and Install on different machines with New and Expanded
installation types to include Clustered Central Management Server (CMS)
machines.

Performing Server Management Tasks, using Central Configuration Manager
(CCM) and Central Management Console (CMC).
-
Manage Server Groups.
-
Provides application support and communication to all users of the BOE
environments.
-
Responsible for the management of the overall BOE system environment
including capacity analysis and planning, performance tuning, auditing, and
optimization.
-
Troubleshoot technical issues serving as incident commander: communicates
issues and impact, creates and delivers action plans, logs and manages
support tickets with Business Objects, ensures tickets are resolved in a
timely fashion, performs post-incident reviews.

Provides management with performance reporting, proactively plans and
implements tuning as indicated.
-
Develops roadmap for BOE addressing functionality, hardware sizing,
security, performance, backup and recovery, disaster planning, and storage
needs.

Design and develop universes and complex reports
-
Interact with various sources of report requests to clarify requirements
and develop Business Objects Universes and reports
-
Evaluate features in new product versions and assess impact and
improvements to product development and delivery
-
Lead/Participate in business and technical Requirement Gathering and
Analysis.
-
Resolves problems occurring with existing systems, consistently following
change control procedures.
-
Support and adhere to all GIS policies, procedures and standards,
including but not limited to, GIS Guiding Principles, Project Management,
Change Management, Internal and External Compliance such as Health & Safety,
Quality, Regulatory and Finance, and support of Internal and External
Audits.

Experience in handling offshore team
