Make sure the Consultant's skills match the requirement. *Title: Business Systems Analyst with OTC Derivatives Exp * *Location: New York City, NY* *Duration: 6-12+ Months* * * *Job Description:* * * *Role Responsibilities:* - Business analyst with OTC derivatives experience for a new initiative with focus areas such as trade repository and regulatory reporting. - Work with cross-functional resources to achieve project objectives. - Draft and present functional specifications and related workflow documents to both internal and external stakeholders for ratification. - Provide impact assessments between current states against various future state models. - Lead multiple internal stakeholder meetings and represent the organization in various industry led forums on new initiatives. - Liaison with development and testing teams and make the teams understand the project functional requirements and provide clarifications as and when required *Knowledge/Skill Requirements:* Good knowledge of OTC derivative products - Equities - Credit - Rates - Commodity - Forex - Good business analysis and communication skills Ability to write functional and messaging specifications Effective written and oral communication skills Ability to interact and manage the business team and related stakeholders Should have team oriented and results driven approach Message design and overall messaging architecture experience Good understanding of XML, W3C XML Schema and XSLT Hands-on FpML and other XML based messaging expertise Experience with XML editors (Oxygen, XML Spy etc.) - Ability to write SQL queries and checking data in tables using editors like Toad Some level of working experience or a good understanding of Java/J2EE based application development using Oracle database. - This will help in smoother interaction with development teams and understand the problems better. *Customer Feedback :- * Customer is looking for more technical experience as well along with the above mentioned JD to translate their business requiremets in to functional and work with developement team closely.
