*Business Analyst* *Bloomington, IL* *Start Date 3/1/14* *Contract will run through 12/31/14 with possible extension* The newly created *Management Assessment of Risks and Controls (MARC) *team is seeking qualified Business Analysts with a Operations Controls/Auditing Focus. The overall goal of the MARC initiative is to complete a first line self-assessment or self-audit of operational or non-financial controls that mirrors the existing Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act (FDICIA) self-assessment process. All controls identified as key controls will be tested. A *key control* is defined as an internal control implemented by management to prevent or detect material errors. MARC is based on the COSO framework of internal controls. *Role Title* Business Analyst (Operational Controls/Auditing Focus) *Detailed Job/Role Description* Candidates will be required to assist with review and identification of processes, identification of risks associated with processes, development of risk statements, ranking of risk statements (highest risk to lowest, etc.), identification of controls, control testing, remediation recommendations, and reporting. *Education Requirements * Bachelor's degree or higher *Desired Skills* · Ability to understand, articulate, describe and document risk and control statements. · Ability to understand internal control and risk mitigation concepts. · Ability to identify, document and articulate potential control gaps and recommendations to management and business partners. · Auditing experience with identifying risks and testing of internal controls strongly desired. · Ability to identify business processes through review of policies and procedures, existing workflows, training materials and discussion with subject matter experts as needed. · Ability to present and simplify complex information into easily comprehended documents (Visio process maps) and control matrices. · Comfortable working with business partners. · Knowledge of and experience working in the financial services/banking industry. · Strong communication (including ability to communicate with management and business subject matter experts), and strong writing skills. · Ability to perform multiple tasks and foster a positive team environment. · Experience working with Visio, Excel and other MS products. (Creating Visio documents not as critical of skill but candidate should be able to read and understand Visio documentation - there could be some Visio creation but more limited). *Duration of assignment* · 3/1-2014 - 12/31/2014 (extension likely) *Other Notes:* These candidates will be located in our Bloomington, IL offices.
