*Qualifications:* Strong C++ developer with solid understanding of Linux file systems (caching, FUSE, etc) and parallel/clustered file systems (e.g., Lustre, Gluster, GPFS). Some experience with virtualization technologies and/or cloud services is a plus. *Job Description:* Support the Telecommunication Labs Watson Speech Recognition team in building a robust interface to a large-scale data store of user-specific information, in particular of speaker "voiceprint " models. The contract developer will work closely with the team on the following tasks: · Build one or more versions of a datastore cluster, most likely starting with a "gluster " instance. · Generate and deploy a large number of "fake " user information elements, for stress testing the combined Watson/datastore system · Measure performance of the Watson/datastore system (including writing testing software as needed) · Optimize performance by (1) contribute to Watson software (python, C++) and (2) "tune " or re-architect the datastore. · Assist in monitoring and analyzing trial and production systems · Additional development work to support trial and product introduction, such as automating test data transfer Qualifications: Strong C++ developer with solid understanding of Linux file systems (caching, FUSE, etc) and parallel/clustered file systems (e.g., Lustre, Gluster, GPFS).
