You will report to the Applications Development Manager and will assist in design, development, and unit testing within the ClaimsConnect solution, using varied technologies such as Informatica and ETL tools. You will help set and ensure adherence to design and programming standards. You will aid in coaching and instructing Associate and Intermediate Applications Developers. *Essential Functions:* · Persuades and collaborates with various levels of technical staff in and across KPIT. Peer groups would be other developers, as well Business and Solution Consultants in the HP BIO. · Influences project and program management or others within a functional area or across KP-IT. · Analysis of technical specifications · Physical design review and/or development · Code Development and Documentation · Unit Testing · System and User Acceptance Testing Support · Recognized as skilled in Informatica. * Basic Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience · 6+ years of experience as ETL developer (Informatica),--building mappings, sessions, and workflows in accordance with industry standard best practices. Must be able to architect ETL solutions appropriate for task at hand, or modify existing code. · 5 years’ experience with analytical manipulation and interpretation of large SQL databases required. Oracle is preferred, but SQL Server, Teradata or DB2 would also be helpful. · Ability to write complex queries and procedures is needed. · Experience in complex SQL query tuning and Informatica performance optimization. · Experience with UNIX, Windows, operating systems required. · Good analytic and critical thinking, writing, communication and consulting skills. Must work well within a team. Must be an independent self-starter. · Proven leadership in consulting. Must exhibit efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness, and results orientation. · Comfortable creating documentation and specifications for ETL code. *Preferred Qualifications:* · Experience with Business Objects, Microstrategy, Cognos, or similar reporting tool. · Experience working with flat files, XML, Web Services, and Message Queues · Knowledge of UNIX Shell Scripting. · Familiarity with hierarchical databases · Certification in Informatica, Oracle, or Teradata · Experience writing PL/SQL packages, functions, and procedures.
