I was able to try Watchdog0x's jLink both on Linux running under VirtualBox as well as booting Linux from a live memstick. In neither case was it able to detect my dongle! Tomorrow, I will be heading to a place where I will have Windows boxes to try. I will report back on that once I have had time to see what happens that way. My dongle has a button on it to put it into pairing mode. It does not require a Windows box with Jabra Direct to pair with the headset. There are other dongles from TP-Link, UGREEN and other vendors on Amazon, many under $10. I can look for a genuine Jabra one too.
