What exactly do you view positively in the post, or what conclusion are
you drawing?
Is it because LC Classic is going to continue to exist after all?
As far as I'm concerned, I very much welcome the idea that LC Classic
continues to exist.
For the past six months, I've been racking my brains trying to decide
which platform to migrate applications developed over the last 20 years
to. And if the new licensing system is attractive, it could save my
clients a lot of time and money.
On the other hand, it might seem naive, but I still wonder if there's a
real need for different environments (Xojo, HyperXtalk, OpenXtalk). I'm
not sure that, with such similar products, competition truly benefits us
users. I wonder if all these people joined forces to create a solid and
sustainable platform, wouldn't that be better?
In that specific context, competition seems to create confusion...
But who am I to argue...
Best,
jbv
