Hi all. I have been forced into a position where I have to sign my MacOS apps. I downloaded Xcode, and also Trevor DeVore’s code signing app. I chose the app I want to sign, but now it’s asking me the name of the certificiate. I know I have a code signing certificate because when I digitally sign PDFs, that’s the certificate I have. I found it in my Keychain, and made sure it was valid for code signing. They only problem is it is a self signed certificate.
Am I required to get a trusted certificate, and if so how do I do that from Xcode as opposed to some other 3rd party certificate agency? Or can I even do that??
