Hi Stephen,
I find it's sometimes easier to:
- select filename
- hit RETURN on the keyboard - instant edit mode! no waiting!
- edit
- hit RETURN again - back to normal

Maybe it's me, but has anyone else seen a change in the way that in Snow
Leopard, the finder allows editing in the names, perhaps with all apps?
It
seems to me that the 'single click to edit' immediately translates into
unwanted launches, always annoying, sometimes with
*disastrous*consequences.
Single click to edit? I'm not sure I understand - I'm running Snow Leopard
and it takes two clicks to edit then name (click once , pause, click
again)... is there something I'm missing?
