This must have to do with the size of the monitor, since on my 30" Display HD, the menu is as solid as can be.

Any idea on how to turn off the blurring in the menus? They are much more difficult to read with all the blurring in them. I would have expected Apple
to test this.

I could never give the MacBook a design award as ergonomically the front of
the keyboard area is too sharp and the raw plastic edge digs into your
wrists when typing on your lap. This was a big no-no back in the 80's when I
was designing laptops, you'd think someone would've caught it.
