I won't be going either :( But am also experiencing these random
2.9 freezes on a macBook Pro.
I've found that if you wait and wait and wait the machine often un-
freezes. 1 - 2 minutes.
My co-worker Hans and I will be attending. He pledges to do his best
to demonstrate the issue to all that will listen. :)
