This doesn't match my experience at all. I have a 15" i7 MacBook Pro with a solid state drive as my primary computer running lots of programs at once. I'm routinely using multiple cores and I don't have any heat problems. In fact, I have in on a base with a fan and it runs so cool I don't even have the fans running. This is the quietest and coolest Mac laptop I've had in a long time. The solid state drive is eerily quiet and I'm guessing one of the reasons it is running so cool.
This isn't a server but I run it pretty hard. Bill Vlahos _________________ InfoWallet (http://www.infowallet.com) is about keeping your important life information with you, accessible, and secure.
