specialFolderPath("Preferences").

Good point- I think in UNIX the /tmp directory is expected to be cleaned at the next system startup.



That the content (files) is cleaned, I understand, but the folder should not be deleted !


Based on the answers I received - everybody has a "Temporary Items" folder - , I think there is something wrong on my iMac.
