Hmmmm. I just bought a new laptop too. A 15 inch to replace my old 15 inch. I copied everything over via Firewire.

How about the others here. Did anyone else experience this?

Yes, I've run into it too, but I'm on OS X, 10.2.6. And I didn't even need to copy a hard drive, it just started happening one day. It also appears that stacks I make with one version of the engine don't want to bind to a newer version -- I have about six or ten copies of the engine on my drive in various incarnations of the MC and Rev distributions as well as several custom standalones, and nearly every stack I have wants to default to the engine that created it.

I mostly have to assign each stack individually by using the contextual menu's "Always open with..." item. And even then the binding doesn't always stick. So it isn't just Panther or new hard drives.
