Also, I thought that I needed to set the scale for each side of the object to scale not just the bottom and right. When I played with it I did some major over kill. And then just walked away from it thinking it was not working right.

To Dan Shafer: Suggestions for part 2 and or 3 of the book: detailed information (with photos) on use of debugging tools, esp. TRACE and similar info on geometry manager. I know Ch 22 (per text in book 1) will have info on debugging but I don't know what that will consist of).
