To be fair, the Euro didn't exist for many years after single-byte character sets were devised- they can't exactly go back and revise them... but I can't argue that everything unicode is always logical either =).

There may be single-byte fonts that display the Euro somewhere in upper-ASCII, but they won't be standard...

The Message Box results led me to that possible conclusion; but I discounted it,thinking "When it came time to establish computer notation for a symbol that will be as widely used as the Euro, no group in its right mind would select notation that won't work with single-byte character sets."

Just goes to show once again what a foole I am. :{`)
