X are not Adobe compliant? For simple document exchange, they are ok. but
in commercial prepress we have to rely on Adobe Distiller to convert
postscript files to a usable format.

Oh yeah. I have Acrobat Pro for those instances too. I know what you mean. But the ability to just print a pretty decent PDF from anything that can print is pretty handy.
