Richard Gaskin writes: How many app designers want to ignore the standard fonts for all target platforms to use a typeface standard to none?
I am one. 1. The number of bundled "common" fonts is limited. 2. The common fonts leave a lot to be desired, would you really want to use Arial (ever), or Courier, or Times? 3. Some of the common fonts look and print differently on different platforms, anyway - despite having the same name. 4. There are good cross-platform fonts which are not bundled with any platform (Bitstream Vera comes immediately to mind). 5. Designers may wish to have a signature font to define the "look" or "style" of their app. I agree that Rev. Ltd. has many better ways to deploy resources than becoming a type foundry. But I would like to see an easy way of bundling fonts of the designer's choice with a Rev. app. Paul Looney _______________________________________________ use-revolution mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution
