Linux Audio

[David Quinn-Jacobs]

Are there any other Linux developers who have had success playing audio 
files and/or clips? If so, could someone send a sample audio file to me, 
or perhaps some good advice?  I have tried multiple formats (as 
suggested by tech support and on this list) on multiple RedHat/Fedora 
configurations without success.
