My thinking on this currently is write Rev clients that use XML as a file format, and behave like Laszlo or AJAX web applications - that is the communicate with the server by sending and receiving XML - Restfuly. The argument then goes - anyone can convert this stuff to AJAX later - but Rev is just much faster and cheaper to develop in - plus of course ....

* generally faster than Web apps

* better looking with better user experiences (at least potentially)
* easier to protect against unauthorized use
* able to read and write data to and from the user's local drive (which neither Laszlo nor AJAX can do, being confined in a security sandbox)
