The difference at play is critical:

On a Mac the user has to at least do something explcit, while on Windows unless you've specifically reconfigured your system you have no choice -- simply inserting the CD triggers the auto-run which in turn triggers the installation of the malware gateway.

Welcome to the joys of auto-run.

Too bad Bill doesn't simply teach his users how to open a CD instead.
