Two factors to consider:

1. the value of price-positioning

2. the lower the price, the more support costs will rise disproportionate to sales by attracting users with less professional experience developing applications.


If one feels strongly about the potential for lower price points there's nothing stopping them from demonstrating that point with their own product and report back here with the hard data on how the price drop affected total ROI.

Personally, I think Rev is priced too low.
