I created a new field, then selected its Table Properties just to set tabstops. Rev is totally unresponsive, and I'm rebooting as I write this.
It hasn't happened to me, but I have seen a case where going to the Table section of the Inspector hung Revolution. Command-. stopped whatever was happening and it worked after that, so you may not need to reboot. I always use Rinaldi's excellent revTabRuler plugin to set tabStops visually. This is now installed by default in your plugins folder.
