This still link against the libraries, if they are not present in the
system, this will fail.
even if it is a console script.

Hi Jeff,
When you say 'no graphics', do you mean you want a command-line
interface only, or something else?
If CLI only, you can write a runrev script with a text editor, and
start it out by turning off the GUI, by making line 1 of the script
something like this:
#!<pathToRunRev> -ui
