Hiya,
Have you tried messing with:
revSetDatabaseDriverPath "../drivers/"
revSetDatabaseDriverPath the defaultFolder
My current setup for the driver is: Revolution Studio/2.8.1-gm-1/
Externals/Database Drivers whilst in the IDE, I haven't run the new
version on my current project as a standalone yet, I've got quite a
bit of debugging to do.
I did create a separate db as a standalone, and I get the following
errors:
1 MacOS, database driver file not found: "/Applications/Revolution
Studio/2.8.1-gm-1/Runtime/Mac OS X/Universal/Externals/Database
Drivers/dboracle.bundle"
2 MacOS, database driver file not found: "/Applications/Revolution
Studio/2.8.1-gm-1/Runtime/Mac OS X/Universal/Externals/Database
Drivers/VXCMD_macho.bundle"
This saves ok and is not an issue as I don't plan on using those
databases.
Ran a test and it connects ok.
Any changes on your end?
Cheers,
Luis.

Hi and thanks,
I've brought my project into the current build, and I can connect to
PostgreSQL fine.
Which version of PostgreSQL are you using?
my PostgreSQL is from http://www.entropy.ch/home/welcome.php
For mac precompiled.
I'm using: http://www.postgresqlformac.com (if you decide to go this
route, backup your db and uninstall it, then install PostgreSQL for
Mac).
Have you moved the db? Can you connect to it with any other client?
Have you changed the port?
Ok, it works with RR ide without a problem but if I build a
standalone it
doesn't connect unless I paste the runtime file copied from version
2.7.1
into the standalone. This is the current path which doesn't work..
AT4Re.app/Contents/MacOS/Externals/database_drivers/"all database
drivers.Bundle"
And this is the addition that I copied and pasted
"dbpostgresql/Contents/MacOS/dbpostgresql"
Total path of folders and files
AT4Re.app/Contents/MacOS/Externals/database_drivers/dbpostgresql/
Contents/Ma
cOS/dbpostgresql
Looks like something is wrong just don’t know what.
Hershel
Cheers,
Luis.

Down loaded a clean new download 2.8.1 and it doesn't work. The most
interesting thing is that the report it gives that it doesn't
find the
oracle and the valentina driver and the postgres doesn’t work.

Hiya,
Did you do a fresh install or an update from the 'Help/Check for
Updates' menu?
I noticed some of the folders got re-jigged.
Cheers,
Luis.

Hi all, I'm wondering why since version 2.8 the only way I could
connect to
a database in a standalone (postgres in my case) is by manually
coping the
standalone database library from version 2.7 into the database
external
folder of the standalone application.
Thank you,
Hershel
