Is there any workaround for Bug 3848 "dontuseqt broken in 2.7.3"?
This bug, which still exists in 2.8.1, rules out playing WMV files as
long
as QuickTime is installed.
For my current app in development the ability to play video in decent
quality independent from QuickTime and independent from any
installations of non standard codecs is very important.
